1. Who we are, and what VouchTails is

VouchTails is operated by VouchTails Private Limited (CIN U62099TN2026PTC191655), registered office Innov8, Millenia, Perungudi, Chennai 600096, Tamil Nadu, India. We run a technology platform that connects pet parents with independent, background-checked pet-care providers — dog walkers, pet sitters, and boarding hosts — in Chennai.

2. We're an intermediary, not the care provider

This is important, so we'll say it plainly. VouchTails is an intermediary and technology platform under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We connect you with independent providers; we do not employ them and we do not ourselves walk dogs or sit pets. The care is delivered by the provider you choose.

We work hard to keep the platform trustworthy — every provider is background-checked before they can offer care — but the provider is responsible for the service they deliver, and you are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us about your pet.

3. How a booking works

You tell us about your pet and what you need, we match you with a suitable provider nearby, and you confirm the booking. Once a service is confirmed, both you and the provider are expected to honour it. You're responsible for giving accurate information about your pet — including temperament, health, and any special needs — so the provider can care for them safely.

4. Payments are protected

Payments are processed by our payments partner, Razorpay. When you pay for a booking, the amount is protected — held until the service is completed, and then released to the provider. This protects both sides: you know your money isn't gone until the care actually happens, and the provider knows they'll be paid for honest work. VouchTails charges a platform commission, which is reflected in the pricing shown to you before you confirm.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Plans change — we get it. Because your payment is protected until the service is completed, eligible cancellations are refunded according to our cancellation and refund terms, which depend on how far ahead of the booking you cancel. 6. Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information about yourself and your pet, and keep it up to date.
• Make sure your pet is fit for the service you book, and disclose anything a provider needs to know to stay safe.
• Treat providers with respect, and provide a safe environment for the care to happen.
• Use the platform lawfully — no fraud, harassment, or attempts to take bookings or payments off-platform.

7. Assumption of risk

Animals are wonderful and, sometimes, unpredictable. Pet care carries inherent risks that no amount of vetting can fully remove. By booking through VouchTails, you understand and accept the ordinary risks that come with someone caring for a living animal, and you confirm the information you've given about your pet is true and complete. This is not a waiver of our own responsibilities — it's an honest acknowledgement of how working with animals works.

8. Our liability

We provide the platform on a reasonable-effort basis and we stand behind the trust and safety work we do. To the extent permitted by law, VouchTails is not liable for the acts or omissions of independent providers or pet parents, and our total liability to you for any claim connected with a booking is limited to the total amount of platform fees you paid us for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law — including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and related e-commerce rules — and we don't try to.

9. Indemnity

If a claim is brought against us because you broke these terms, misused the platform, or gave false information that caused harm, you agree to cover the reasonable losses and costs we incur as a direct result. This is limited to what the law allows.

11. Grievances

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as VouchTails evolves. When we do, we'll update the effective date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know. Continuing to use VouchTails after a change means you accept the updated terms.
